Allegra Nasi is born in Torino and starts travelling at the early age of two. Her first adventure takes her to New York which, along with her city of birth, is where she will live until she is thirteen. Only after a period in England and another on the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, where she finishes her studies, does she move back to Italy on a permanent basis.
Her constant travelling, her active fantasy and maybe also the passion she has as a child for "Star Wars", help her develop her love of adventures in made up worlds.
She so learns that aside from real experiences and real travels, one of the most fascinating destinations is the human mind with all of its, sometimes complex, ways of functioning.
Though in college she studies communications, she soon realizes that what truly interest her is psychology and after some time and several more adventures, she decides to further her studies in this field.
The same happens with her writing: though inventing make believe worlds and characters has always been a part of her, only recently does she start actually putting them down on paper. In the meantime she works for the US Pro Ski Tour and for the Italian Ski team. Her work in media relations, her period spent teaching aerobics, are all activities which give her added material to draw on when, pen in hand, she loses herself in the worlds she makes up.
To open the treasure chest of inspiration though, a key is needed; a key she finds when on horseback, a passion since about the age of five when he grandfather gives her Argentina, her first horse, and teaches her not only to ride but also to respect this fascinating animal.
Today, Allegra lives in Torino with her dog. She spends her days caring for and training her polo ponies, preparing for tournaments, studying psychology and living the adventures that continuously develop in her mind.
For the sake of detail, her favorite color is blue; she doesn't like shrimp; she has a serious dislike of umbrellas, of mechanised highway toll booths and of toilet paper which unrolls backwards. She can't stand arrogance, presumption, dishonesty, narcissism, nor those who intentionally hurt others. She likes to be alone and needs her spaces; she admires loyalty and has a whole collection of irrational fears that fortunately, mostly make her smile.
Her complex personality is the reason for which she finds the most serenity when arriving to the stables at dawn, with her dog. It is here that she can begin her travels to those places in her fantasy where anything can happen, where any creature can exist, where it's possible to go back to being a child.
